This Document, all inclusive Chapters, Exhibits and all adopted Model Codes and Exhibits except Exhibit D article V shall be on file and open for inspection to the public at the Office of the City Clerk. This Document, all inclusive Chapters, Exhibits and all adopted Model Codes and Articles shall be on file and open to the public at the City of Alturas Building Department office during their regular business hours.

The City of Alturas Department of Public Works is designated as the department for the issuing of permits for the construction of buildings in the City, pursuant to the provisions of the California Health and Safety Code, Division 13, Part 3.

All moneys received shall be deposited in the City treasury.

The Director of Public Works may engage the services of any qualified person for the purpose of checking plans and specifications submitted to them for the purpose of ascertaining whether such plans and specifications meet the requirements of the law designated in Section 5-2.

All expenses of the person designated in Section 5-4 shall be borne by the permit applicant, and paid out of the fees collected from the permit applicant, if the costs exceed the amount of fees initially collected these additional costs shall be paid by the applicant prior to a final inspection and issuance of a permit to occupy.
