Alturas Swimming Pool Feasibility Study Presentation

Your opportunity to ask the engineers about the McHugh Memorial Swimming Pool in the City of Alturas will be on Tuesday, March 15th, 2:00 PM during the regularly scheduled City of Alturas Council meeting.  NorthStar Engineering, from Chico, CA, is the firm that was selected to conduct the swimming pool feasibility study for the City.  The March 15th  City Council meeting will be a perfect time to listen to the North Star presentation and ask critical technical questions related to the alternatives in the study.  Also available by teleconference will be engineer representatives from Terracon out of Concord, CA.  Terracon is another engineering firm that solely designs and constructs municipal swimming pools.  The City Swimming Pool, also known as the McHugh Memorial Swimming Pool, was bequeathed funding from the estate of John Walls for improvements and use by the youth of Alturas.  A Pool Committee has been working with NorthStar since August, 2015 to develop the feasibility study.  The Committee will continue to work together and will use the feasibility study to develop a plan of action that will be presented to the City Council at a future date.
