1. Heating selectively
This feature can be defined that the high water-content part will absorb more microwaves than the low water-content part, for the water possesses the best microwave-absorbing quality. By making use of this feature, the materials can be heated and dried evenly.

With the microwave handling the materials, the materials, themselves, will become the heating source, so the
heat exchanging process can be avoided. The microwaves penetrate into the materials from all directions to
heat the materials evenly in a very short time. Therefore, the drying time can be shortened in order to improve
the products’ quality.
