Main steps of pretreatment in linseed oil plant.
1. Magnetic box and cleaning screen
To move the impurities in the raw materials. This can help to protect the following machines.
2. Crushing
Crushing is necessary for linseed oil making, because the volume of linseed is a little big. In order to improve the oil yield rate and protect the following machines, we need to crush big seeds to small parts. If the raw material is small, we won't need the crushing.
3. Softening
This is the special step for linseed oil making. Soybean is becoming soft after this step, so it is easier to flake cake and press.
4. Flaking roller
To make the linseed into pieces with the thickness from 0.25-0.3 mm. This can help the linseed heating well-proportioned and soaking well in the extraction section.
5. LD and cooker
Before the raw materials entering the extraction section, we need to adjust the water
rate by LD. In this process, the water and temperature help to get crude oil easily
and improve the quality of cake and oil. After the LD and cooker under 105-110
°C, the water content is 5-8%.
4. Pressing or pre-pressing
If the capacity is small and without extraction section, usually we will use pressing to get
crude linseed oil. Usually linseed oil making will not use press, because the oil rate is low of linseed. After cooker, soybean will direct to extraction and get crude linseed oil.
Main steps of extraction section in linseed oil plant.
1. Rotary extractor: this is the very important machine in extraction section. The function of this machine is to extract oil from the rice bran.
2. Toaster: This is the equipment to separate rice bran oil from the rice bran cake.
3. 1st, 2nd evaporator and stripping tower: The function of these machines is to separate oil and solvent.
4. Cooling system: Cooling system is important in solvent recycling. It helps to recycle the solvent, so the consume of solvent is little.
Through pretreatment and extraction, crude linseed oil is got.
Then we will change the crude linseed oil to refined linseed oil.
Main steps of refinery section in linseed oil plant.
1. Neutralizing: This pot is used to degum and deacidify.
2. Decolorizing (bleaching) : The function of this part is to move the color of the oil. The color
of the oil can be controlled by yourself.
3. Deodorizing: This is the part to move the odor of oil.
After the whole linseed oil process, all the solvent has been extract out from the crude linseed oil. The linseed oil which is extract with extraction way will not harmful to
customers' health.
